About Me

Born by the Caspian Sea (Iran), I learned to read patterns in sand, wind and water. I studied at home for my B.Sc., moved to Isfahan for my M.Sc., and then north to Finland, Aalto University. Under the guidance of Dr. Arkady Krasheninnikov, Prof. Hannu-Pekka Komsa, Prof. Matti Puska, and Prof. Tapio Ala-Nissilä, I learned to investigate physics of materials. With Prof. Kari Laasonen, I traced the chemistry of electron transfers and reactions. As a postdoctoral researcher in computational materials science at the University of Eastern Finland under Prof. Mikko Karttunen, I tackle materials science challenges at the physics-chemistry interface.

What began as a hobby—machine learning, quantum mechanics, electronic-structure calculations, data and code—became my craft: building models that let matter speak, and turning whispers of theory into tools for energy, materials, and the small revolutions that begin inside a simulation.

Current projects: (i) tracing how defects act in low-dimensional CrSBr, (ii) listening for the quiet signatures of isolated diamond centers, (iii) watching NaCl crystals land and grow on single-layer graphene out of water, and (iv) teaching TEMPO to endure a little longer, each pursued with multiscale modelling.
